Dear parents, As we begin a new school year, I feel blessed to be a part of this community. Many great things happened last year and there are many more great things for the future. We are changing the schedule, adding teachers, lowering the class sizes in all possible cases and working to make sure your child receives the best possible education that St. Michael's can offer. We have a wonderful new President/CEO, Ms. Saundra Johnson Austin who is working hard to meet everyone and access the needs of St. Michael's from all angles.As we grow in many ways this year please remember we are going to have some growing pains. Things may hit a few snags but together we will be able to bring them all together and end the year better than we began the year. If you have any issues, suggestions or comments, please feel free to contact me. My administrative assistant is Elvira Fitzgerald and she will handle most of my calls and schedule appointments so that I can spend more time in the classrooms to see what wonderful things your children are going. Click here Discipline Many parents have asked questions regarding discipline issues regarding other students. If a situation involves your child please be assured that the situation will not be discussed with other parents. If you have an issue that concerns your child and you feel it has not been addressed please contact either the teacher involved or the child's counselor: Mari Chacon - 7th - 8th grade Doug Enloe - 9th - 10th grade Linda Sunseri - 11th - 12th grade The proper channels for resolving issues is: 1. Address the issues with the classroom teacher 2. If you are not satisfied, contact the student's counselor. The teachers and counselor keep me apprised as to the status of various situations and happenings in the school. Further information regarding discipline is available in the Student/Parent Handbook.
