Dear St. Mike's friends and family:
Welcome to the St. Michael’s High School website. Whether you’re a prospective student, the parent of a prospective student, or one of our beloved alumni just surfing to see what’s happening at your alma mater, thanks for stopping by! I hope you’re getting a glimpse of what makes St. Mike’s the right educational choice for so many students in Northern New Mexico.
I am honored and humbled to serve as president of this historic learning community, now 151 years strong. Each day when I get to my office on campus behind the Brothers’ home, where 12 Christian Brothers still reside, I am reminded of the vision and faith that led John Baptist de La Salle and the Brothers to develop an educational model that would sustain academic excellence for centuries. I am inspired by the wisdom the Brothers share with our school as well as by the creativity and professionalism of our dedicated faculty and staff. The St. Mike’s community will always honor the legacy and values established by our founders while we employ a contemporary approach to curriculum and instruction. St. Michael’s is an exceptionally diverse school in the Catholic tradition, and it is this wonderful, sometimes unusual joining of our community and our faith that melds so uniquely to serve our students.
As president, I am responsible for securing the resources to run our school so that students have what they need to succeed throughout their time at St. Mike’s—as well as what they desire to enhance their experience. I’m committed to ensuring each student receives the individualized attention he or she needs to achieve academic and personal goals. We offer a strong college preparatory program and encourage intellectual discourse in all subjects while providing the moral and spiritual foundation that has been at the heart of the Santa Fe community for more than seven generations.
