School Profile: St. Mike's at a glance
Established:
St. Michael's High School opened in the fall of 1859 under
the direction of the Christian Brothers in buildings adjacent to the San
Miguel Mission. In December 1967, St. Mike's relocated to its present location
on Siringo Road. The school became co-educational in 1968 following the
closure of the all-girls Catholic School, the Loretto Academy. St. Mike's
is part of a worldwide network of Christian Brothers schools that base
education on the principles of our founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle:
to make a difference in each student's life and cooperate with one another
in a spirit of trust and caring and to provide an education that is practical,
accessible to all, and comprehensive.

of a polo shirt (white, light blue, navy or royal) embroidered with the
St. Mike's logo. Students are required to be in Mass dress for Mass and
