College Scholarship Information and Deadlines

Kiwanis Club of Santa Fe
The Kiwanis Club of Sant Fe offers four-year college scholarships that are a maximum of $8,000, and two-year scholarships that are for a maximum of $2,000. Applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applications are available in Ms. Sunseri's office. They must be postmarked by February 12, 2012.

Betty Montoya Gift of Life Scholarship
Two $1,000 scholarships and two $500 scholarships will be awarded to New Mexico high school seniors. Apply via e-mail by February 14, 2012. For information write to

The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program
The Buick Achievers Scholarship Program offers 100 scholarships, each worth up to $25,000/year, and 1,000 scholarships worth up to $2,000/year to college-bound, community-minded high school seniors who plan to major in engineering, technology, design, or business, with an interest in the automotive industry. Application deadline is Febraury 29; applications are available at

Scholar Dollar$
Scholar Dollar$ provides all New Mexico State University students an online application for NMSU scholarships. Application deadline is March 1. To learn more, visit

New Mexico Federation of Republican Women
The New mexico Federation of Republican Women has established a scholarship to assist a deserving female student, to further her educatrion at a college or vocational school in New Mexico. A $1,000 scholarship and a $500 scholarship are available. Applicants must be registered Republicans or, if under 18, daughters of registered Republicans. Application deadline is March 15; applications are available in Ms. Sunseri's office.

Albuquerque Community Foundation
The Albuquerque Community Foundation has a number of scholarships and financial aid programs for students covering a range of criteria and qualifications, including: students who engage in community service; students who are in or have been in New Mexico foster care; students living in mobile homes; Native American students involved in varsity sports; students who don't receive enough Federal Financial Aid to cover expenses; and students who are pursuing a trade in auto or metal works. Northern New Mexico Senior Men's Golf Association
High school seniors can apply for $2,000 scholarships from the Northern New Mexico Senior Men's Golf Association. Application deadline is April 16; for more information see Ms. Sunseri.

The Santa Fe Women's Club and Library Association
The Santa Fe Women's Club and Library Association scholarship is an option for young women graduating from high school in 2012 and planning to attend college in the fall. Applicants must demonstrate financial need. Applications are available in Ms. Sunseri's office.

Abbot & Fenner Business Consultants Scholarship
$1,000 awarded to the scholarship winner. Submit an essay on one of the topics that appears at
www.abbotandfenner.com/scholarships.htm. The deadline is June 25, 2012.

AES Engineers
AES Engineers is offering a $500 scholarship awarded on the basis of character. AES, a consulting firm, is committed to supporting higher education and believes that a high grade-point-average should not be the only criterion for eligibility. To apply for the scholarship, visit
