College Search and Application Information
Ninety-nine percent of St. Michael’s graduates go on to pursue post-secondary education in some form. St. Michael’s college counseling begins in the ninth grade, when students and parents meet with a counselor to create a Four Year Plan, which will ensure that students take the proper courses to meet or exceed criteria for college admissions.
In the tenth grade, students take the practice ACT (PLAN) exam; eleventh-grade students take the PSAT/NMQT. The counselors work with students to prepare them for these exams; they also review test results with students and help them understand how the results can be useful in future educational planning.
Students are encouraged to take their first ACT or SAT during the spring semester of their junior year.
