Graduation Requirements
For graduation, all students must complete twenty-four (24) Senior
High School credits. Because of changes by the Public Education Department,
the requirements are different for each of the graduating classes.
They are as follows:

Class of 2009
- 2 Religion
- 4 English
- 3 Mathematics
- 3 1/2 Social Studies
- 1 Arts and Humanities*
- 2 Foreign Language
(must be the same language)
- 3 Science
- 1 Physical Education
- 1/2 Speech
- 1/2 Keyboarding
- 1/2 Computer Literacy
- 3 Electives
Classes of 2010 & 2011
- 2 Religion
- 4 English
- 3 Mathematics
- 3 1/2 Social Studies
- 1 Arts and Humanities*
- 2 Foreign Language
(must be the same language)
- 3 Science
- 1 Physical Education
- 1/2 Speech
- 1/2 Computer Literacy
- 3 1/2 Electives
Class of 2012
- 4 Religion
- 4 English
- 4 Mathematics
- 3 1/2 Social Sciences
- 1 Arts and Humanities*
- 2 Foreign Language (must be of the same language)
- 3 Science
- 1 Physical Education
- 1/2 Speech
- 1/2 Computer Literacy
- 5 1/2 Elective
By 2009 - 2010, students entering grade 9 shall earn at least one credit as an advanced placement, honors, dual credit, or distance learning course.
*The graduation requirement of one credit in Arts and Humanities
may be fulfilled by any of the credit courses in the Arts and
Humanities Department (except Speech) or by the following credited
courses in the English Department: Creative Writing I, Humanities,
Yearbook or The Novel and Its Images. Please note: Graduation requirements are subject to change by the Board
of Directors or the New Mexico Public Education Department.
