This year's Round-Up "La Posada Festiva" is planned for November 3. It promises to be another amazing event with fun for everyone!

Great auction items are a key to our success. We are continuing to focus on auction items that individuals might want to purchase as Christmas gifts for themselves (greenery or holiday decorations), items for their children, other family members and friends or services that folks might need during the holidays such as catering, decorating, valet service, housecleaning, auto detailing or pet grooming. Memorable experiences--trips to great locations, intimate dinners with friends, movie passes, restaurant certificates, cooking classes, golf lessons are always popular and, of course, we're always looking for those items/experiences to which the "average Joe" typically does not have access! The possibilities are endless--and our creative acquisitions team is a whiz at putting together package deals with a particular theme or focus. Print the acquisitions from provided here and return it with your donation to the Development Office.

Horsemen Round-Up Acquisition Form

For anyone who has attended the annual Horsemen Round-Up Gala Reception and Auction visions of good food, foot stomping music, fabulous items to bid on and a great time come to mind!  This annual event held in November starts off the Christmas season with a roaring good time.  The evening begins with a preview party and a chance to peruse the items offered for auction.  There are two silent auction sections closing thirty minutes apart and then a live auction with hearty bidding and the thrill of getting that special Christmas gift for someone special or for themselves.  Throughout the evening a varied selection of food from barbeque, posole, beans and green chile are offered.

This event is organized by a host of volunteers serving on various committees (Decorations, Acquisitions, Food, Set Up) and over 100 donors of unique and thoughtful auction items.  All proceeds from the auction are used to fund our Fine Arts Department and student activities.  Last year we were able to raise over $30,000 for our students.

It's not too early to start thinking about the 2007 Horsemen Round-Up! If you have a donation or know of someone who would like to give print the donation form and return it to the Development Office.

444 (4 Miles, 4 Fun, 4 St. Mike’s)

The 7th annual 444 held on September 30 was a big success with a record number of participants.  It was made possible by our awesome sponsors and volunteers. Please help thank our sponsors and patronize their businesses.

Bonita Medical Center Charter Bank Coca Cola of Santa Fe
Dion's Pizza Graphic Connection First National Bank
Los Alamos National Bank NM Sports Fitness and Physical Theraphy Physicians Hospital
Premier Distributingd Plaza II Executive Center, Inc. Santa Fe Orthopaedic Associates, P.C.
White and Luff Finiancial

This annual event has been a St. Mikes tradition for six years.  The 444 Run/Walk, (that’s 4 miles, for fun, for St. Mike’s) is more than an organized foot race.  You’ll feel like part of the Horsemen family at this event, where you will see old friends and make new ones.  From the fleetest runners to joggers and casual walkers of all ages, everyone comes to partake in a day of fun and camaraderie.  As in past years this event is timed to coincide with St. Mike’s annual Fiesta de San Miguel this year's event will take place on September 30.   The race begins at 7:30 a. m. at the San Miguel mission and ends at St. Mike’s followed by Mass in the Tipton Sports Center and a hearty breakfast prepared by the St. Mike’s alumni. Then it’s off to the Fiesta for games, music and fun!

St. Mike’s established the 444 Run/Walk to help provide additional support for our athletic programs and student activities.  In the past six years this event has raised more than $75,000 for those programs.  Of course, this would not have been possible were it not for the generosity of our sponsors who believe in our event and our school and who understand the importance of health, fitness and fun no matter what the age.

Homecoming Tailgate and Picnic

October 13, 2007

Every fall Horsemen young and old, near and far look forward to the Homecoming game held at Brother Abdon Field.  A crisp autumn day, lots of sunshine (usually), friends and classmates, many not seen for years, come together at St. Mike’s to enjoy a picnic and football game.  This tailgate party, hosted by the Development Office and Boosters Club and football parents, offers burgers and hot dogs with all the fixings.  It is a wonderful opportunity to find faces from years past and make new friends.
