Dear St. Michael's Community,
I am deeply humbled and honored to serve as the Interim President at St. Michael's High School. I have spent the past two and a half weeks listening and learning about the school community, and what I have discovered is that St. Michael's High School is surrounded by a deeply committed staff, caring adults, and community supporters who pour their hearts into ensuring that our students have an exemplary human and Christian education.
I have been well acquainted with St. Michael's High School my entire life, as I grew up in Santa Fe, and always wanted to be a Horsemen. Given family circumstances I was not able to attend St. Michael's High School as a student, but enjoyed many opportunities to be on campus as a visitor. What always drew me to St. Michael's High School was the deep sense of caring and commitment I experienced when visiting campus-from the Brothers, to the students, staff, and parents. My recent role as a member of the Board of Trustees these past four years allowed me to return to St. Michael's High School and remain a part of this community. The Lasallian Mission and motto speak to who I am as a leader, and that is why I accepted the role of Interim President at St. Michael's High School.
I believe in servant leadership and helping our school community ensure that we provide the best educational experience we possibly can, even amidst the uncertainty and challenges that the recent pandemic has presented. I view these challenges as opportunities to improve upon the existing excellence at St. Michael's High School and to grow as leaders as we use our creativity and hearts to guide our decisions for our students.
I am excited about the opportunity to carry on the Horsemen tradition and lead our St. Michael's school community to a highly successful 2020-2021 school year!
