Mr. Paul M. Baca, a native Santa Fean, and proud graduate of the College of Santa Fe, is entering his twenty-eighth year as an educator and his twenty-seventh at St. Michael’s High School.

Mr. Baca has served St. Michael's in a variety of capacities, most recently as a member of the Mathematics Department and the Business Department. Mr. Baca was also a member of the administrative team, serving six years as the school’s Disciplinarian. He also served as a mentor in the Guidance and Counseling Department for three years.Mr. Baca is the proud recipient of the 1999-2000 Brother Botulph Award, for dedication and excellence in education.  Such dedication to teaching is also shown in his completion of the Buttimer Institute in 2008, a three-year leadership program for Lasallian educators.  He also received the 2012 Archdiocese of Santa Fe Teacher of the Year Award, for continual dedication to Catholic education.  In May of 2014, Mr. Baca was recognized by the St. Michael’s Parents’ Club for his commitment to our students and the Lasallian mission. 

With respect to extracurricular activities, Mr. Baca has coached baseball, basketball, and football at St. Michael’s. His most cherished memories include winning the state football championship with his son, Jerod, Class of 2004, and then again with his younger son, Brian, Class of 2010. Mr. Baca enjoys mountain biking and recently began competing in the Santa Fe Century.
