President's Message

Dear Saint Michael’s High School Community,

“One Hundred Days of May” is upon us, when it seems that many months of school activities are packed into one final month of the academic year. There is a palpable excitement and nervousness that permeates the hallways. As I am learning, the month of May at Saint Michael’s includes multiple spring sports competing for post-season championships, performing arts concerts, studying for final exams, 8th grade promotion, academic awards ceremonies, Block M awards, Banquet of Champions, and -- of course -- Graduation! There are also more than the “usual” amount of transitions underway for longtime faculty and administration which is accompanied with feelings of anxiety, sadness, and uncertainty. As I shared in my letter to the community on April 12, though change is not always easy or comfortable, history shows us that it also presents us with opportunities.

Earlier this month, I hosted three “Coffee with the President'' meetings. The purpose of these gatherings was twofold; for the first time since we have moved from pandemic to endemic, I wanted to create an intentional opportunity to connect -- in person -- with as many school community members as possible; I also wanted to share with the community some of the objective data and information that has been gathered or received in this current school year which have informed new and exciting initiatives that will launch in the 2022-23 school year!

If you were unable to attend one of the “Coffee with the President” gatherings, please click here to view a recording of the presentation ( passcode: [email protected] ). More information and updates will continue to be shared as we conclude the school year.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. Otherwise, I look forward to seeing you at the variety of events this month!

Live Jesus in Our Hearts! Forever!
