Juniors are scheduled to take the PSAT/NMSQT on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
The PSAT/NMSQT is a mandatory test for all of our SMHS junior students. Students must bring a fully charged Chromebook and their Chromebook charger.
Check in begins at 8:15 a.m. Students who arrive after 8:40 a.m. will not be able to test and will be sent home and receive an unexcused absence. The test will begin promptly at 8:45 a.m. There are no makeups scheduled for this exam.
- 11th grade students will be allowed to wear spirit dress on this day.
- Please remind them to bring water and a light snack for their 10 minute break in between test sessions.
- Juniors will be dismissed for the remainder of the day after the completion of the final test session (approximately 12:30-1:00 p.m.).
We hope you can help us by communicating with your 11th grade student on the importance of this exam. This exam serves a few purposes:
- National Merit Scholarship qualification
- SAT practice
- Pre- and post- data collection for classroom instruction and planning
