Board of Trustees Extends President Gantt's Contract

St. Michael’s High School’s board of trustees extended current president Taylor Gantt’s contract by three years, citing the leadership role he played in fundraising efforts, raising teacher salaries and increasing tuition assistance opportunities. Gantt, 37, has worked at the school for eight years and just completed his third year as president. “The Board of Trustees recognizes that leadership is most tested in tumultuous times, not times of quiet and calm reserve,” Exilda Martinez, chair of the board of trustees, said in a statement. “The board has appreciated Mr. Gantt’s honest disposition and forthright approach as he has led the school through adaptation and transition in an ever-changing educational climate.”
