HORSEMEN HIGHLIGHTS | SEPTEMBER 2, 2022
The 2022-2023 school year is off to a great start! Students have arrived with clear excitement of a new school year! As I visit classrooms, students appear eager to learn, to make new friends, and to meet the expectations of their new teachers.
St. Michael’s High School is a Lasallian Catholic school where students, faculty, staff, and administration, integrate and embody Lasallian Core Principles. As we begin the new year, one of our main priorities will be to ensure our students feel safe, happy, and cared for in school. With that in mind, the school administration will not tolerate any forms of bullying, harassment, or intimidation, whether physical, verbal, or online. All incidents of bullying or harassment should be reported to an administrator, and immediate action will be taken.
We encourage you to closely monitor your child for symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough, and shortness of breath. If your child develops any of these symptoms, do not send them to school. You should contact your healthcare provider immediately for advice. Please contact the school if your child develops COVID-19-like symptoms. As a reminder, here are the steps that we can all take to keep ourselves, our families, and the school community safe:
- Wash your hands frequently with soap and water, especially before and after eating
- Cover your cough and/or sneeze and immediately wash your hands for 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer.
- Stay home if you are sick
We are very excited about our football game tomorrow at 12pm against the Demons at Santa Fe High School. We support sportsmanship with tenacity while competing against other high schools. We need your help in getting off to a winning start by getting involved and packing the stands.
Go Horsemen!

A very big thank you to Lee and Kristi Hunt and the Hunt Law Firm for their extraordinarily generous donation that provided a new scoreboard on the field at our Christian Brothers Athletic Complex. Thank you to Don Gorman for undertaking this project to ensure that our Horsemen and Lady Horsemen athletes feel even more pride in their efforts and successes on the field.
On Monday, August 29th, the school participated in the inaugural School Blessing. Thank you to Father Frank, Brother Alphonse, the Seniors, Choir and Diahann Larson.
