Academics » Overview

St. Michael's rich academic environment opens the minds of our students to new paths of learning. St. Michael's curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the nation's most prestigious college and universities. In addition, our Lasallian approach to learning enables students to gain confidence in themselves academically, as well as spiritually and emotionally, and thus enter college well prepared - not just for academic study but for the social and emotional challenges that college students face. Students discover talents and interests they didn't know they had, allowing them to live a rich and rewarding life and to be upstanding members of our local and regional societies.
With a 13:1 student to faculty ratio, students are known personally and they receive individualized attention. Our faculty are experienced in their academic discipline with deep content knowldege and they are guided by the mission of St. John Baptist de LaSalle to provide academic excellence and meet students "where they are."
Along with required courses, St. Michael’s offers many non-core courses as well as Honors Courses and Advanced Placement Courses.
The academic success of St. Michael’s is demonstrated by the fact that 100% of our graduates are accepted to colleges and universities and many of our graduates receive thousands of dollars in college scholarships.

The Lasallian tradition provides an education that prepares students not only for college and a career, but also for life.

Today, Lasallian schools are educating more than 1 million students in more than 80 countries throughout the world.
