Horsemen Highlights for week of Feb. 21-24
Patience is a Virtue
Thank you to everyone who weathered the two days of storm patiently this past week. The disturbance to regular schedules and routines can be disruptive to individual situations and it was a sign of community support seeing how many people dealt patiently with changes in schedules. We are particularly thankful for our maintenance team who snow plowed and shoveled at school all week.
Third Quarter Grades:
With the third quarter grades due on Fri., Mar. 3, students have two weeks of classes remaining. Student grades are available OnBoard. Email Mr. Armijo ([email protected]) if you are unable to get access to your student’s grades on OnBoard. Students currently on ineligibility have a chance to come off if they have no F grades at the third quarter posting of grades (Mar. 7). An official letter will come from the school to alert students and parents of any change in ineligibility status. While on ineligibility, students are not allowed to participate in sports (including practice).
Course Selection for 2023-24:
The Academic Council will be finalizing next week the courses being offered for 2023-2024. At the beginning of March, students will be introduced to the course selection process. Registration information for the 2023-2024 year will follow.
Ash Wednesday Mass:
Our community will gather together to celebrate Mass for Ash Wednesday on Wednesday, February 22 at 9:15 AM in Tipton Center. As with every Mass, we will be taking up a collection for those in need and ask for your generosity to help the relief efforts of the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey. Family members of the St. Mike’s community are invited to join us for Mass. Students are expected to be in Mass Dress attire and the dress guidelines may be found in the Parent/Student Handbook.
Blood Drive:
The snow days this past week postponed our Blood Drive until a later date, probably the week before Easter. The need for blood donations is always in demand and we are happy to host a day for it.
