Carmen Pacheco and Lauren Pecos from the girls’ basketball team will represent the Red Team. Both games will take place on March 18th in Gallup, New Mexico.
Appreciation Assembly: Yesterday we had an assembly to honor not only the State Champion Boys Basketball Team, but also all the Winter sports, arts, and clubs that have State recognized competitions which included: wrestling, swimming and diving, girls basketball, eSports, Chess Club (took 8th in State), choir, orchestra, band, cheer, and Pony Express—every group that competed, actually. Many students were in more than one group. We have very well-rounded students. Block M applications were announced and will be available to students soon through Google Classroom.
Principal Search Committee News: The overall response to the visit and interviews of our candidate, Martin Sandoval, went well. Decision making is in process. The interview teams did a great job, particularly the student groups. Teachers sitting in the student groups commented on how professional and pointedly, and politely, honest the students were. The candidate was very impressed with them, too.
