Bio
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Rudy Martinez brings strong expertise in chemistry and a passion for teaching to St. Michael’s. He earned a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Baylor University, an M.S. in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Texas at San Antonio. At St. Michael’s, he teaches Chemistry and Organic Chemistry, guiding students through challenging material with clarity and energy. His love for science started in his school years when he realized he enjoyed experimenting and asking questions about how the world works. Rudy values St. Michael’s as a place where curiosity and faith coexist, giving students the chance to grow fully as individuals. He enjoys life with his wife, Grace, and finds joy in encouraging students to persist even when faced with tough problems. With 14 years of teaching experience, Rudy hopes his students leave his class with confidence in their ability to problem-solve and think critically.
