Bio
Martin Sandoval was born and raised in Santa Fe and graduated from St. Michael's High School in 1988. He has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education and Master of Arts Degree in Education Leadership both from the University of New Mexico. Mr. Sandoval was a social studies and Spanish teacher for nine years in both the Rio Rancho and Albuquerque Public schools. He served as an assistant principal at both Del Norte High School and Valley High School for five years. He then served as the head principal of Eldorado High School for seventeen years before retiring from the Albuquerque Public School after a thirty one year career. He considers it a blessing, honor, and privilege to be able to return home to Santa Fe and serve as the principal of his alma mater. Mr. Sandoval has been the principal of St. Michael’s High School since 2023.
Mr. Sandoval is passionate about his work and cares deeply about the students, faculty staff, and the entire St. Michael’s community. In his spare time he loves to travel the world with his family, learn about and experience different cultures, and see the beautiful wonders of God's creation.
