Bio

Originally from Boise, Idaho, William Waag brings 17 years of music education experience to St. Michael’s. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Boise State University and a Master’s in Orchestral Conducting from Central Washington University. At St. Michael’s, he teaches Drumline 1 and Drumline 2, helping students develop both technical skill and teamwork. His earliest teaching memories involve sharing music with peers and realizing how powerful collaboration can be. William loves the St. Michael’s community for its spirit of unity and growth, and he hopes his students remember the discipline and joy that come from making music together. Outside of school, he enjoys time with his brothers and remains grateful for the chance to mentor young musicians.
