Bio
From Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Teresa Walker brings a wealth of knowledge and more than two decades of experience to St. Michael’s. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University, a Bachelor of Arts in Education from the College of Santa Fe at Albuquerque, and a Master of Science in Teaching from New Mexico Tech. She teaches 8th Grade Physical Science, Biology, and Chemistry, helping students explore both foundational and advanced concepts in science. Teresa’s love of teaching began when she discovered her ability to explain complex ideas in simple ways, a gift that has guided her career. At home, she enjoys a large and joyful family that includes three children, three children-in-law, eleven grandchildren, a good friend in her ex-husband, and four “grand-dogs.” She treasures St. Michael’s for its close-knit spirit and the opportunity to share her love of science with students who inspire her every day. With more than 23 years of teaching, Teresa hopes her students remember that curiosity and critical thinking are lifelong tools for success.
