Bio
From El Paso, Texas, Gilbert Piñón brings 30 years of experience to his teaching at St. Michael’s. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Texas Christian University and a Master’s Degree from Denver Seminary. At St. Michael’s, he teaches 8th Grade U.S. History, encouraging students to see history as a living story that shapes who they are today. His earliest memories of teaching began with explaining history to friends and peers, experiences that revealed the joy of helping others learn. Gilbert treasures the supportive community at St. Michael’s and hopes his students remember that history is about people, choices, and the responsibility to create a better world. He enjoys life with his wife, Dana, and their two dogs, Riley and Joey.
