Bio

Santa Fe native Martin Romero brings humor, creativity, and more than a decade of teaching experience to the technology program at St. Michael’s. He studied at Santa Fe Community College and New Mexico State University before beginning his career. At St. Michael’s, he teaches Junior High Technology, Advanced Technology, Digital Photo/Video, and Yearbook. His passion for teaching began in 1986 when he led his first class in DOS, Lotus, and WordPerfect, quickly realizing how much he enjoyed helping others explore technology. Known for his playful personality he creates a relaxed and engaging learning environment. Beyond the classroom, he has been involved with football, baseball, and scouting, investing his time in student growth both academically and personally. Martin especially values the friendships and collaboration he shares with both students and faculty at St. Michael’s, and he hopes his students leave his class with not only practical skills but also the memory of having had a positive experience in his care.
