Jonathan Moon is originally from San Bernardino, California in Orange County home of the Hell’s Angels. There he attended Whittier Christian High School and then moved to New Mexico with his parents and graduated from New Mexico Highlands with a degree in Social Studies and a minor in Secondary Education.
Mr. Moon taught math, science and social studies for two years at St. Francis Elementary School. This year is his 19th year at St. Mike’s teaching social studies. He has also has had the pleasure of coaching boys and girls basketball for St. Mike's, and has especially loved coaching the 7th grade boys for the past 14 years. He loves the challenge of laying a foundation for their basketball skills and setting the groundwork for their continued athletic success.
Mr. Moon loves the four seasons here in New Mexico especially the changing leaves in the fall. In his free time he enjoys traveling to both historical and battle sites and considers himself a “history geek.” He loves and values his family. Being at St. Mike’s is definitely where he wants to be and knows it is where he should be. He is most grateful for the opportunity to teach and coach at this school.
