Hybrid Start for Trimester 3

January 22, 2021

To Current Parents and Students of St. Michael’s High School,

As we journey forward through the uncertainty of what the future holds, we reflect on the words of De La Salle who said, “Do not have any anxiety about the future. Leave everything in God’s hands for he will take care of you.”

Beginning February 22, St. Michael’s High School will begin Trimester 3 on a modified hybrid model and students will have the option to return to campus for in person learning. The current Public Health order, by the NM Department of Health, states that private schools may operate at 25% capacity of classroom space. Our original hybrid model was based on 50% capacity; therefore, we are in the process of adjusting our Back-to-School Reopening Plan.

A survey to acquire updated data and your thoughts regarding the implementation of the Hybrid Learning Model will be emailed home in the coming week.  Families will still have the option to remain virtual throughout the remainder of the school year.

As we continue to modify our reopening plans, please visit our website frequently for updates. Our Sunday “Look Ahead” emails and School Messenger communications will provide continuous updated information as we approach our school reopening.

We would like to thank the St. Michael’s High School Board of Trustees for their continued support and approval of the actions that our administration has taken to ensure the safety of our St. Michael’s family.
We opened with the words of De La Salle; now we close with them: “In the light of faith you see things quite differently.” Indeed, we are seeing our opportunity to open, and look forward to filling our hallways with the smiles and energy of our students. Thank you for your patience and support of St. Michael’s High School through these unprecedented times.

In the Spirit of De La Salle,
