This year, Saint Michael's High School is investing in community engagement by partnering with Remind, a communication platform that allows educators, students, and families to connect quickly, efficiently, and effectively from any device. With the adoption of a single platform that supports meaningful engagement at every level, Saint Michael's is committed to building positive relationships that support student success. As a first step, Saint Michaels's has begun sending community-wide announcements and updates to parents, but teachers and other staff will be able to use Remind in the coming weeks for their classrooms, clubs and activities. If you have any questions or need support with this new tool, please email [email protected]

Support the students of Saint Michael's High School through our 2022 online raffle and take a chance to win a cash prize ($5,000/$3,000/$1,500)! Students can win prizes based on number of raffle tickets sold, and friends and family can easily give credit for ticket sales to students through the online purchase process. Share the link! Anyone can participate and all proceeds benefit SMHS students! https://go.rallyup.com/smhsraffle/Campaign/Details

HORSEMEN HIGHLIGHTS | September 9, 2022
Dear Saint Michael’s High School Families,
Below is an important update:
Student-Fan Gameday Expectations
St. Michael's students must remember that they are part of the St. Michael's Lasallian Catholic community and they should reflect its values at all times, including our dress and grooming code.
Here are some opportunities to represent St. Michael's and the Lasallian Community.
- Lasallian school engages in a concerted effort to respect the dignity of all persons.
- Encourage students to wear St. Michael's spirit apparel, when attending home sporting events.
- Respect officials and decisions of the officials.
- Refrain from going onto the court or field at any time.
- Refrain from making abusive remarks, using unacceptable language or engaging in provocative behavior.
- Be gracious in both victory and defeat.
- Commend those concerned for fine play, hard work and effort, and sportsmanlike behavior.
School Sponsored Athletics and Activities Dress Code Guidelines
All clothing and appearance should reflect the Lasallian Core Principles of St. Michael’s High School. In general, free dress is attire that is appropriate for school activities and is not distracting, demeaning or degrading to self or others.
Please remember:
- Clothing should be neat, modest and appropriate.
- Tops: Neckline may not be lower than three finger-widths from the collar bone—including button placket; Shoulder straps on shirts or dresses must be at least 2" wide.
- The hemline of dresses, skirts, shorts should be no more than 4 inches from the top of the knee cap.
- Jeans/Pants (with no holes) and athletic pants must fit properly; not too tight.
- Leggings are appropriate with a dress or skirt or tunic style top.
- All shoes, make-up, jewelry, and hairstyle policies remain the same as in the handbook.
- Short shorts, halter-tops, spaghetti straps, shirts that are too short (bare midriffs), low cut blouses, clothing that is extremely tight, and clothing with inappropriate messages are not permitted.
- All students are expected to wear shirts.
Please guide your child in selecting the appropriate attire for school events. When in doubt, do not wear it! This will be added to the Parent-Student Handbook, effective September 9, 2022. We will follow the guidelines for Student Dress Code and Student ID Interventions in the 2022-2023 Handbook.
In the Lasallian Spirit,
Dr. Arlana Kingsbury
Interim Principal

It is time to show what it means to be a St. Michael's Horsemen by helping support those in need by donating money to the Neighbor to Neighbor Fund Drive which is the largest fund drive benefiting the Food Depot. During this time, neighborhoods, groups and businesses come together to show support for those who are struggling with food insecurity. This is the second year that St. Michael's is participating and the expectations are high as we were recognized for raising the most money in our division last year. Let's do it again Horsemen ! Click on the following link http://www.thefooddepot.org/n2n and click on the "Donate to Neighbor to Neighbor" tab. Once on the donation page, choose your donation amount, payment type and frequency of donation. Be sure to go to the "Organizations and Schools" tab to select St. Michael's High School so we can get credit for your donation! Let us show the city what it means to be a Horsemen and live out our core principles by serving those in need and helping reach this year's goal to raise $225,000+ which will provide 900,000 meals. By buying bulk, The Food Depot can provide 4 meals for every dollar! Every dollar does make a difference. The Fund Drive ends on September 17th.
