A Horsemen Welcome to the new interim President, Mr. Michael Sandoval (class of ’88), who teams with Br. James, interim Principal, in leading the school through the second semester. The respective processes of identifying and hiring a permanent Principal and President for the Summer are well under way.
Website Updates: -Calendar: In order to enhance communication and clarity with school programs, the website calendar is in the process of being updated with the daily schedule, school events, etc. January is completed and the other months’ events will be forthcoming. Once this semester is uploaded, we begin work on next year’s calendar. -Student and Parent Resources (under the “Community” tab): The format for the page will be streamlined with links to key documents and announcements. Please consult the “2022-2023 Student Parent Handbook” at the bottom of the page as a reference to school policies. -Inclement Weather Delays: Please be attentive to the method by which we communicate a Weather Delay Late Start to the school day. It seemed to work before Finals Week the one day we had to use it, and there is still more Winter ahead.
Academic Planning for 2023-2024: The academic department chairs meet this week to begin the process of formulating the “Course Catalogue” for next year’s courses. With attention to our Lasallian core value of “Academic Excellence” we anticipate our continued advancement of the core curriculum.
Thank You’s to some hard workers behind the scenes this Christmas break: -To the Teachers, Parents and Alumni who help with ticket taking, bookkeeping, snack barring and cleaning our home sporting events. -To our custodial staff, Mr. Gonzales and Mr. Rivera, who put time in to doing some deep cleaning of the campus. -To our maintenance coordinator, Mr. Negros, who directed the repairs of two classrooms and two bathrooms. -To our IT wizard, Mr. Arias, who worked on upgrading Chromebooks and teacher computers to be ready for the second semester.
