Boys Golf

Boy’s golf season is split between the fall and the spring with District and State Championships being played at the end of the spring season. Golf is not only an individual sport; it is a team sport as well since all individual’s scores are added together for a composite team score in tournament play. This creates a very competitive environment with each golfer relying on all the other teammates to pull through for a successful outcome.

At every practice, we teach life skills such as patience, focus, perseverance, and self-discipline.  We promote sportsmanship and honesty, since players are responsible for keeping their own score.

Unlike many fast-paced sports, golf requires players to slow down, think carefully, and stay calm under pressure. Golf will certainly test one’s mental strength.

Our program will teach respect for others and the course.  In addition, golf is a lifelong sport that players can continue playing well into adulthood, making it a valuable skill to learn early in life.  Overall, our golf program will help young players grow physically and mentally.
