Bio
Originally from Los Angeles, California, Gregg Turner brings more than three decades of teaching and academic expertise to St. Michael’s. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from UCLA, followed by both a Master of Arts and a Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate University. Gregg teaches Trigonometry and Intro to Calculus, and he has a gift for making even the most challenging material approachable. His own passion for teaching began during his graduate studies, when he realized that sharing the beauty of mathematics with others was more rewarding than pursuing theory alone. At home, he enjoys life with his two children and three rescue dogs, finding balance between academic work and family. Gregg loves St. Michael’s for the joy of seeing students grow in confidence as they tackle new challenges, and he hopes they leave his class with both problem-solving skills and resilience. His quiet humor and depth of knowledge make him a steady guide for students navigating advanced mathematics.
